I’m Louis Mellini — a photographer and videographer based in Hamilton, Alabama. I’ve been capturing weddings, portraits, and everyday moments since 2015, working in both film and digital. My approach is rooted in storytelling — creating honest, timeless work that feels like you. Whether it's a big milestone or something simple and real, I’m here to tell your story the way it deserves to be told.
I'm Louis Mellini, a photographer and videographer based in Hamilton, Alabama. I live here with my wife Carly and our two kids, Florence and Frankie. We live a pretty simple, slow-paced small town life. It’s full of the kinds of moments that are easy to miss if you’re not paying attention. That’s a big part of why I do what I do.
I got into photography and videography because of movies. I’ve always loved the way they make you feel — how one shot can say everything without a single word. I learned to shoot on film and never really stopped. I still shoot film regularly, and I even develop it myself. It slows things down in a good way and helps me stay focused on what matters: the story.
Since 2015, I’ve been photographing families, portraits, weddings, events and everyday life — moments that don’t need to be staged or perfect to be meaningful. I try to keep things relaxed and real, and I focus on the small stuff that usually gets overlooked. That’s where the good stuff lives.
When I’m not working, I’m with Carly, Florence, and Frankie — usually outside, watching movies, or just hanging out at home. They remind me every day why capturing memories matters.
